Boots & Bow Ties event to benefit radiation oncology at Johnston Memorial Hospital
ABINGDON, Va. – Boots & Bow Ties, a charity event hosted by Johnston Memorial Hospital Foundation on Saturday, June 28, 2014, will help fund services at Mountain States Cancer Care at Johnston Memorial Hospital for radiation oncology patients in our community. The event, to be held at Woodbrook Farms in Abingdon, will feature silent and live auctions, a concert by the Church Sisters, and farm-to-table food provided by local farmers and prepared by Shindigs Catering & Events.
Silent and live auctions will offer attendees a chance to bid on a variety of items donated by local artisans and businesses. Auction items include sports memorabilia, event tickets, a one-week stay at a Myrtle Beach, S.C. condo, artwork by Kyle Buckland and Joel Heart, a trip for two (travel not included) to a Colorado luxury guest ranch, and much more.
Tickets are on sale for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind aquamarine ring designed by Goodman Jewelers specifically for Boots & Bow Ties. Purchase tickets for $100 each at Goodman Jewelers in Abingdon or from a Johnston Memorial Foundation member. William King Clothiers is offering bow ties and ladies’ scarves custom-designed for the event at a discounted rate at the Bristol store location.
Primary sponsors of the event are the Johnston Memorial Foundation, Johnston Memorial Hospital and William King Clothiers. The top-tier, $5000 title sponsors include Mathesius Insurance Group and Utility Trailer.
