CrestPoint Health has become the fastest growing Medicare Advantage Plan in the Region

2/12/2014

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Locally owned and operated CrestPoint Health, which is based in Johnson City, has seen rapid growth in Medicare Advantage membership over the past year, thanks to community members who value the benefits that a local plan can bring. CrestPoint created its plans based on the region’s needs, and to give people in the community an option close to home.

“Being a part of the community is what CrestPoint is all about. It is encouraging to be the Medicare Advantage plan of choice for so many people, and to personally help them make an informed decision about their health insurance needs,” said Sharon Dicorato, vice president for Marketing and Sales for CrestPoint’s parent company, Integrated Solutions Health Network. “We listened to people in the community, as well as the physicians and nurses who care for them in their time of need, and as a result, we designed a set of benefit plans that best fits their lives.”

Enrollment figures just released from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services show that CrestPoint had an overall increase of 644 percent when it came to new member enrollments for Medicare Advantage plans from August 2013 to January 2014.

“People you know and trust created these Medicare Advantage plans with the objective to better coordinate member interaction with their physician and community hospital,” says Dicorato. “The enthusiastic response from the folks in the community tells us that we are moving in the right direction. As a result, we continue to identify new ways to invest in our products and services. Our goal is simple - to be the best in cost, quality and customer satisfaction.”

CrestPoint Health was created to serve the health needs of the thousands of Mountain States Health Alliance caregivers - who themselves provide health care to the community - and their families. CrestPoint has been so successful at meeting those needs, that it now serves its employees’ parents and neighbors with the Medicare Advantage program.

“We continue to create extra value for the people who choose CrestPoint, like meals delivered to a member’s home after a stay in the hospital, and/or transportation to their doctor’s appointment,” said Dicorato. “As a locally owned and operated health plan, the people we are serving are our parents, grandparents and the people we go to church and football games with. We are all so very pleased to be serving the people of our community in such a special way.”

CrestPoint offers Medicare Advantage plans in Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Washington and Unicoi counties in Tennessee.
