MARION, Va. – Mark Montgomery has been named the new administrator of Francis Marion Manor Health & Rehabilitation (FMMHR) in Marion, Va., as the facility also announces a name change. An entity of Smyth County Community Hospital (SCCH), the nursing care facility was formerly known as Francis Marion Manor.
Montgomery has served as a Team Member at SCCH for 23 years, most recently as assistant administrator and operations director, and has 30 years experience in the health care industry. He holds a business degree from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree in hospital administration from the Medical College of Virginia. He is a licensed nursing home administrator and certified as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Montgomery is a member of the Marion Morning Rotary Club and the Marion First United Methodist Church. He and his wife, Brenda Conner, have two grown children, Kevin and Amy.
