Norton Community Hospital Foundation's Winter Gala coming up Feb. 14


BIG STONE GAP, Va. – The Norton Community Hospital Foundation’s 2014 Winter Gala is coming up Friday, Feb. 14, at Mountain Empire Community College, featuring a performance by up-and-coming country singer Kaitlyn Baker.

 Tickets for the evening are $50 per person and proceeds support the purchase of additional equipment for the hospital’s renovated surgical suite and FitOne.

 “We’re thrilled to have Kaitlyn Baker, who’s originally from Pound, Va., providing the entertainment for us,” said Lori Crisp, Norton Community Hospital’s director of marketing & communications. “She is a truly talented singer with her sights set on Nashville.

 “Justin Mullins, our Winter Gala Committee chairperson, has done a fabulous job lining up an evening of wonderful food and exciting entertainment on what could be the biggest date night of the year. And of course this all benefits our patients.”

 The gala will be held at the MECC’s Goodloe Center, 3441 Mountain Empire Road, in Big Stone Gap. It includes dinner at 6:30 p.m. and live entertainment starting at 8. Attire is semi-formal.
