Frequently Asked Questions

What is the approximate time it will take for me to recuperate after Lumbar Laminectomy?

Recuperation time is approximately two months; four weeks at home and then four to six weeks of light duty. Returning to work varies from person to person and will depend on the extent of your surgery and the type of work that you were doing prior to surgery. You can drive after approximately 1 week if no longer taking narcotic pain medication.
