Volunteers - The Heart and Soul of HealthCare

The volunteers at Mountain States Health Alliance are a team of people dedicated to high-quality patient-centered care. It is our belief that working together as a team, sharing a common objective of excellent service, is what has earned MSHA facilities the recognition of being part of the finest health care providers in our region.

Volunteers of MSHA are committed to providing services to patients in a caring, loving, and respectful way. Everyone at MSHA, whether involved in direct patient care, administrative or technical services, remains mindful that each role affects patients and their families in direct and vital ways, no matter how remote from patient care these roles may appear. Anxieties and fears related to illness and separation from home may make hospitalization a particularly stressful event in the life of each patient. Volunteers try to reflect concerns for the total well-being of the patients by remaining constantly alert to these stresses and through sensitive attitudes and behavior. Volunteers are helping MSHA to meet the needs of all our patients and their families in an environment of care, understanding and compassion.

We want to say thank you to our volunteers for their time, energy, and commitment to our goal of Bringing Loving Care to Healthcare! They are an invaluable part of the MSHA team and are recognized as major contributors in providing patient-centered care. Our team of volunteers shows us that we live in a wonderful community where people are willing to give of themselves in order to help others.

Opportunities to volunteer exist in many different areas:

There are so many different opportunities to serve and special projects to get involved with! The Volunteer/Auxiliary Resources Department works very closely with volunteers to ensure appropriate placement so that they provide service in an area that is a good match for them.
