Surgical Services at RCMC is housed in one of southwest Virginia's most modern surgical facilities and features newly renovated operating and recovery suites, an endoscopy room and work areas.
Located on the right side of the hospital and accessible through its own entrance is the modern Outpatient Surgery Center, used extensively by patients whose surgery does not necessitate an overnight stay.
In addition to the traditional "open" surgical techniques, surgeons at RCMC have the advances of laser and laparoscopic technology, so they can perform many operations through very small incisions, thus greatly reducing recovery time and allowing patients to more quickly resume their normal activities.
