Housed in a 40-foot-long RV powered by a Cummins ISL 400 hp diesel engine, the HeartCoach will offer comprehensive cardiovascular screenings. The screening includes:
- Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides and Glucose readings (finger stick)
- Height, weight, waist and blood pressure measurements
- Cardiovascular Screening:
Echocardiogram – Ultrasound evaluation to see how the heart is beating, pumping blood and to identify abnormalities in the heart muscle and valves.
Carotid Artery Scan – Ultrasound evaluation of the carotid arteries that screens for buildup of fatty plaque – leading cause of strokes.
Aorta Scan – Ultrasound is used to screen for the presence of an aneurysm in the abdominal aorta. The majority of people with an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) have no symptoms.
Ankle Brachial Index Measurements – Screens for Peripheral Arterial Disease (plaque buildup in the legs).
- Review and discuss your screening results with a health educator. Learn ways to incorporate healthy habits to help decrease or eliminate risk factors. The screening process takes 45 minutes. All tests are for screening purposes only.
