| "Pediatric cardiology is a challenging and rewarding field. As a specialist, we offer many opportunities to both patients and families. " |
Dr. Mehta received his medical degree at Baroda Medical College in India. He completed his residency in
pediatrics at Misericardia at Lincoln Hospital, New York and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the
University of Miami School of Medicine. He is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.
He is also a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology and American Academy of Pediatrics.
Born and raised in India, Dr. Mehta knew he wanted to be a doctor when he was in high school. One of
the things that led him to pediatric cardiology was the realization that children needed a cardiologist
who could treat their small bodies. Until pediatric cardiology became available, children were treated
by adult cardiologists.
Dr. Mehta has specific special interests in noninvasive cardiology, invasive cardiology,
electrophysiology in addition to hypertension and hyperlipidemia management.
Now residing in Johnson City, Dr. Mehta enjoys spending his leisure time pursuing his hobbies and
interests, which include gardening, playing golf, traveling and participating in church activities.
