Sycamore Shoals Hospital (SSH), located in Elizabethton, Tennessee, is a 121-bed nonprofit hospital dedicated to providing a lifetime of quality, patient-centered health care. SSH provides inpatient and outpatient medical/surgical services, a 24-hour emergency department, a Family Birth Center, Level II Nursery, and Women's diagnostic Center.

SSH is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and serves the East Tennessee counties of Carter, Johnson, Sullivan and Unicoi and surrounding counties in North Carolina. From Johnson City: From Interstate 26 take exit 24 ( US SR 321 Elizabethton ) . Turn right off the exit ramp. You will be traveling north on US 321. Continue straight through several traffic lights. You will travel approximately seven miles. Sycamore Shoals Hospital is on the left.

• From Bluff City and Bristol: Take Highway 19 until you reach the Broad Street intersection in Elizabethton. Turn right. Continue straight through several traffic lights. You will travel approximately four miles. Sycamore Shoals Hospital will be on your right.
  
• From Roan Mountain, Mountain City and North Carolina: Take Highway 19 until you reach the Broad Street intersection in Elizabethton. Turn left. Continue straight through several traffic lights. You will travel approximately four miles. Sycamore Shoals Hospital will be on your right.
  
• From Knoxville: Take interstate 40 (will become Interstate 81). You will be traveling north. Take the Interstate 26 exit to Johnson City. You will travel approximately 10 miles. Take exit take exit 24 ( US SR 321 Elizabethton ) to Elizabethton. Turn right off the exit ramp. You will be traveling north on US 321. Continue straight through several traffic lights.
