Amenities and Lodging
Guest Services
Guest Services supports patients, families and medical staff at Franklin Woods Community Hospital through a variety of methods involving communication, information and resources. Through the Helping Hands Program, assistance is provided in the form of hotel vouchers and gas cards for indigent needs. Additional assistance is provided with meal vouchers, bus passes and calling cards. Guest Services also provides free notary services and administers the Be Our Guest Program for out-of-town visitors. Guest Services team members respond
to needs throughout the hospital.
ATM
An ATM is located in the main lobby, to the right of the Gift Shop.
Internet Access
If you have brought your laptop with you, we provide wi-fi service at no cost.
Condition H
Condition H is a way to speak up when there is an emergency and you have spoken with a nurse but there has been no response; when there is a noticeable change in your condition that you don't think is being addressed; or when you have spoken to the hospital staff and manager and still have serious concerns about patient care. Call 4357 (HELP) and provide your name, the patient's name and room number and your concern.
Information Desk
The information stations are located just inside the main entrance and are staffed by patient access, volunteers and security personnel 24/7.
Food Service
The Terrace Bistro is located on the main level of FWCH. Monday through Friday, breakfast is served from 7-10 a.m. and lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. At lunch, the Terrace Bistro features items from its Flavors 450 line, with all items being less than 450 calories, as well as other traditional hot foods, salads, sandwiches, and pizza and flatbreads baked fresh in the brick pizza oven. OutTakes, which offers sandwiches, salads, soups, pizza, bagels, parfaits and more, is located adjacent to the Gift Shop in the main lobby. OutTakes is open everyday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Gift Shop
The gift shop at FWCH is located near the Information Desk in the main lobby on the first floor. Gift shop hours are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Lodging/Hotels
Several options are available if your family or loved ones need overnight lodging. Discounts are available for those with hospitalized family members. Please ask your nurse about our "Be Our Guest" packet.
Notary
Team members within the hospital are available to provide notary service. If you require a notary, please contact FWCH Administration or Guest Services for assistance.
GetWellNetwork
The GetWellNetwork system makes the television in a patient's room into an interactive resource during a hospital stay. Patients can access an education library, entertainment options, surveys, service request menus and more, directly at the bedside.
Vocera
Vocera is a lightweight, virtually hands-free communication device that allows FWCH team members to instantly be connected to other team members. This saves times and physical steps, enhances productivity and improves patient safety and instant responsiveness to patient and customer needs.
West-Com Nurse Call/Vocera Integration
A patient call will go from the pillow speaker to the Vocera communication device our team members will be wearing. When a patient places a call from the pillow speaker and selects the "pain" button, the call will go directly to the nurse. If the patient selects the "toileting" button, the call will go directly to the nursing assistant.
