Franklin Woods Community Hospital Diagnostic Imaging
Diagnostic Imaging is located on the first floor of Franklin Woods Community Hospital, adjacent to the outpatient lobby. Diagnostic Imaging services are offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week by on-site and on-call technologists.
Diagnostic Imaging services support the FWCH Emergency Department, surgery, the inpatient units and our outpatient community. Mountain Empire Radiology interprets most procedures performed in Diagnostic Imaging at FWCH.
Basic interventional procedures including biopsies, drainages, thoracentesis and paracentesis are performed in Diagnostic Imaging on inpatients to prevent transfer to another facility.
Diagnostic Imaging at FWCH is part of our system-wide digital picture archiving and communication (PACS) system, which transmits electronic reports and images digitally, cutting down on hard copies. The inpatient units, surgery and the ED are equipped with PACS monitors for the referring physicians to use.
