Family Advisory Council
Niswonger Children’s Hospital strives to continually enhance the hospital experience for our pediatric patients and their families by providing family-centered care. The Family Advisory Council is a collaborative effort that includes hospital administration, the healthcare team and patient families. Being a part of our Family Advisory Council gives patient families a voice in the programs and policies developed for our hospital, as well as educating healthcare providers and the community by sharing their experiences with hospitalization and chronic medical conditions. If interested, please call our Community Outreach Department at 423-431-1014 or complete the online application.
Share Your Story
By sharing your story, you are providing a support system to other families who may be facing similar challenges, as well as encouraging Team Members of Niswonger Children’s Hospital as they continue their important work each day. The powerful stories of healing often inspire members of the community to share their time and provide charitable contributions that help Niswonger Children’s Hospital continue its mission of bringing loving care to the health care of the children in our region. For more information on sharing your story, call our Community Outreach Department at 423-431-1014.

Children's Hospital Wish List
Hospitalized children require more resources than adult patients. In order to meet these needs, Niswonger Children’s Hospital often relies on donations from the community. These donations are used in programs that help reduce the stress of hospitalization by meeting the social, emotional and educational needs of our pediatric patients. Your donations of crafts, toys and other needed items help brighten hospital stays for our pediatric patients. Help make our wishes come true. For more information, call us at 423-431-6845.
Mountain States Foundation is committed to supporting the health-related needs of children in the region. Mountain States Foundation is able to support Niswonger Children’s Hospital at Johnson City Medical Center because of generous gifts, bequests and grants provided by our friends. These gifts support buildings, equipment and services that assist in the healing process for the children served by Niswonger Children’s Hospital.
Gifts of money, stocks, securities and other assets may be made to the Foundation and are tax-deductible. For more information on how you can help, call Mountain States Foundation at 423-952-3110.
