Acute Care
The Med/Surg Units make up the east wings of the thir
d and fourth floors of Smyth County Community Hospital with each the unit delivering comprehensive medical/surgical care including telemetry services. Pediatric patients are incorporated with the Surgical/3E unit. A Clinical Nurse Specialist oversees clinical management of patient care and an Enterostomal Nurse assesses patients for prevention of
skin problems and complicated wounds.
