 Laboratory Services
Laboratory Services for Smyth County Community Hospital and its departments are available to meet the needs of our patients. The highest level of quality and customer satisfaction are our goals. Laboratory Services are inspected and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and the Virginia Department of Health. Laboratory services also participate
in the College of American Pathologists' programs for quality control. Testing is performed and supervised by college trained and degreed technicians and technologists certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and the American Society of Medical Technologists. Satellite testing is provided by licensed nurses trained and supervised by Laboratory staff.

SCCH Laboratory - Providing diagnostic and industrial testing 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
in Smyth County Community Hospital.
Wellness Testing - Wellness screenings are provided a number of times per year in the
community and at local industries. Provide either free or at a significantly reduced price; this is a
bargain for the health conscious consumer.
Satellite Testing - Diagnostic testing and monitoring services throughout the Hospital.
