Family and Friends Visiting Guidelines
Visitors are good medicine for patients. Family members and friends are welcome to visit you in the hospital.
- Visitors should maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise.
- Visitors must dress appropriately and must wear a shirt and shoes.
- Visitors should avoid heavy perfume/cologne or scents while visiting.
- Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests/ treatments or when requested by the doctor or nurse.
- Visitors with colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
- For the safety of hospital patients and staff, all entrances are locked from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. In order to enter the hospital after this time, visitors must do so through the Emergency Department.
Room: Your room has been assigned based on your admitting diagnosis.
Bed: Your bed has an electronic control; your nurse will show you how to adjust it. Your hospital bed is probably higher and narrower than your bed at home. Bedside rails may be used for your protection. Your bed is also equipped with a button to call your nurse when you need help.
Telephone: The phone number to your room is posted on your phone. You may receive calls in your room and make local calls anytime by dialing the seven-digit number.
Television: Your room is equipped with cable television. Please be considerate of other patients by keeping the volume low.
In-Room Safe: We encourage you to send your valuables home; if this is not possible, your room is equipped with an in-room safe. Be sure to lock your valuables in the safe. Please note: The hospital is not responsible for your personal belongings.
Housekeeping and Room Maintenance: If your room requires housekeeping assistance, please call the operator by pressing "0." If your room requires maintenance assistance, please call the operator by pressing "0".
A meditation chapel is located just inside the main entrance. Visitors are welcome to the use of the chapel for worship, prayer and quiet reflection.
Computer and Internet Access
If you have brought your own laptop with you, we provide wi-fi service at no cost.
Condition H is a way to speak up when there is an emergency and you have spoken with a nurse, but there has been no response; when there is a noticeable change in your condition that you do not think is being addressed; or when you have spoken to the hospital staff and manager and still have serious concerns about patient care. Call 431-4357 (HELP) and provide your name, the patient’s name and room number, and your concern.
The gift shop is located just inside the main entrance in the Professional Office Building. Gift shop hours are Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
The RiverRidge Café is located on the lower level. It is a full-service cafeteria that provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. A traditional hot-food line, short-order grill, salad bar, deli and desserts are available seven days a week. The Café hours are 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
