The Children’s Center at Sycamore Shoals Hospital provides quality childcare for all children in the community for ages 6 weeks to five years.

We are committed to meeting the needs, interests, and stages of development of young children by providing a nurturing, caring environment where children can be safe and happy.

We strive to create an environment which encourages a child’s curiosity.

Opportunities should be provided to think creatively, to make choices and decisions, and to act freely within appropriate limits. The caregivers value warm affectionate relationships between teachers and children and between parents and teachers. They work to establish and maintain close ties between home and the Center. 

The Caregivers are selected for their love of children and their interest in providing quality care and stimulating environments and each undergo thorough background checks before hiring. They are expected to maintain a certain number of childcare training hours each year to meet the needs of the children and what is required by the state licensing board.

Sycamore Shoals Hospital provides nutritious meals and snacks each day to our children. The operating hours are from 6:30AM to 6:00PM, Monday through Friday.
