Insurance/Billing

Our staff will verify your insurance coverage for treatments and medications. If your insurance plan does not cover the medications your physician has ordered, you will be contacted by our financial counselors who will help you identify potential assistance programs based on your individual situation. Our staff and physicians will help identify alternative treatments that might be covered in your insurance plan.
If you do not have insurance or are otherwise unable to pay for your care, please ask for a financial counselor in the Business Office. They can help with applying for medical assistance.
If you have difficulty paying any co-insurance or co-payment fees, please contact the Mountain States Health Alliance billing staff indicated on your bill. Working out a payment plan with the Business Office is better than not paying your bill.
Due to our more complex care, most of the MSHA Medical Oncology Clinics are considered by most insurance plans to be an OUTPATIENT HOSPITAL SERVICE. Please call your insurance company to ask what your benefits are for Outpatient Hospital Services and if there are any co-insurance and co-pay fees.
The hospital will bill you for any co-insurance and co-payments.
Insurance bills for Outpatient Hospital Services are split into facility/supply-related charges and physician-related charges. You will generally receive one bill from MSHA each month for all of your chemotherapy charges; however, you will receive individual bills for each physician fee and other services received from
your providers. | |
