Dr. Melanie Davidson graduated with honors from Loma Linda University in California in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science. Dr. Davidson attended medical school, also at Loma Linda University, and graduated “Internal Medicine with Distinction.” She completed her internal medicine residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, a UCLA affiliate. She completed a cardiology fellowship at East Tennessee State University, where she was Chief Fellow from 2005-2006. She began work in August 2006 at Heart & Vascular Associates.
She enjoys the challenge of her work as a cardiologist, she said, because the field of Cardiology is rapidly evolving, and more than that - she enjoys the patients. “The people I meet become more than just patients. They become friends.”
Dr. Davidson is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association and the American Medical Association. She offers noninvasive services such as echocardiography, stress testing, nuclear cardiology, risk profiles and exercise prescriptions. In addition, she also performs diagnostic heart catheterizations.
