Trauma Care
Johnson City Medical Center
As a Level I Trauma Center -- the highest level of State designation for trauma centers -- the emergency department at Johnson City Medical Center has the personnel, facilities and equipment to handle major trauma emergencies. Johnson City Medical Center also serves as home base for Wings Air Rescue 1, the region's only dedicated medical air transport service for medical emergencies. Staffed by a flight crew trained in advanced trauma care, Wings Air Rescue provides care on the scene, en route and at the hospital, for anyone in need within a 125-mile radius of Johnson City.
