Hospice care is available for all age groups .... and is not only for cancer patients!

Hospice isn't a place, but a kind of caring. Hospice is provided in a setting that best suits the needs of patient and family.  Services occur wherever the patient calls home. This can include:

  • The patient's home
  • Nursing facility
  • Assisted living facility
  • Hospital
  • Hospice residence or unit
  • Wherever the person lives

Hospice services are provided under the direction of a physician, and include:

  • Nursing
  • Social services
  • Physician services
  • Hospice aide
  • Volunteers
  • Spiritual counseling
  • Dietary counseling
  • Bereavement counseling

Physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy may also be included when needed.

Arrangements will be made for needed medical supplies and equipment related to the patient's diagnosis.
