Hospice care is available for all age groups .... and is not only for cancer patients!

Hospice Volunteer Program

The gifts of compassion, care and grace are an amazing blessing to patients and families facing a life-limiting illness. Medical Center Hospice volunteers provide an array of services to our Hospice patients and families.

From spending brief quality time with patients, reading or simply providing socialization for the patient or family; no amount of assistance is too small.

The giving that hospice volunteers provide is unlimited, and bestows blessing not only upon patients and families, but has many positive returns for the volunteers themselves.

If you are interested in our volunteer program, please contact Lena Onks 423-431-7608 or e-mail OnksLA@msha.com.

Volunteers are required to complete 12 hours of initial training and continuing education; however, they are not certified in CPR.

Monetary Donations

Monetary donations are also accepted through the Mountain States Foundation office. Donations and memorials to Mountain States Hospice, a nonprofit agency, are tax-deductible. These funds are used for patient care, special needs and hospice program services.
