Over 400,000 people undergo total joint replacement surgery each year. Primary candidates are individuals with chronic joint pain from arthritis that interferes with daily activities, walking, exercise, leisure, recreation, and work. The surgery aims to relieve pain, restore independence, and return you to work and other daily activities.
The Joint Replacement Center at Indian Path Medical Center focuses on hip and knee replacement and short-term rehabilitation. We believe that you play a key role in ensuring a successful recovery. Our goal is to involve you in your treatment through each step of the program with patient participation in group and individual exercises involving the family and other joint replacement patients.
Many of our patients have referred to the Joint Replacement Centers as “Joint Camp.”
“Joint Camp” is unique. It takes place on dedicated units that specializes in the care of total joint replacement patients. Patients have their surgery on Monday or Tuesday and go home on Thursday or Friday.
