    The majority of people with neck or back pain will not require surgery. However, for those who do, our program has a special unit in the hospital dedicated specifically to the care of spine patients. Casual attire is the order of the day, with patients encouraged to wear their own clothes rather than hospital gowns, and patients and families take part in group meals, activities and other social interaction. Our staff has been hand-picked for their positive attitudes, motivational skills and their desire to provide outstanding service. In addition, they have been specially trained to provide comprehensive clinical care for patients undergoing back or neck surgery.

    Our innovative program focuses on providing patients a coordinated, efficient diagnosis and treatment plan. Our goal is to help patients achieve the highest level of independence and functionality. Our program brings together a team of spine specialists including:

    • Physical Therapists- provide an array of treatments to help patients strengthen muscles, reduce pain, prevent recurrences and recover from surgical procedures. - experts in diagnostic imaging including X-ray, MRI and CT. - an anesthesiologist-based service to provide non-surgical methods of controlling nerve pain. - doctors with specialized training in the evaluation and nonsurgical management of back and neck problems.

    Of course, we include your primary physician in each step of your care here at the center. Your physician will feel good knowing we're working as a team.
