Marathon Childbirth Class

This is a 1 day Childbirth class that will discuss such topics as Third Trimester of Pregnancy, The Labor Process, Birth, Breathing and Relaxation Techniques, Pain Management and Post Partum Care. This class is very fast paced and does not go into as much detail as the Series Childbirth Class but is great for those on a busy schedule. Lunch is not provided and participants should bring 2 pillows and blanket/mat to class.

This is a 3 week series class that will discuss such topics as Third Trimester of Pregnancy, The Labor Process, Birth, Breathing and Relaxation Techniques, Pain Management and Post Partum and Infant Care in the hospital. This class span three weeks, giving participants more time in the class setting to ask questions and learn at a slower pace.
Register for the class by the 28th week - take class between 30-32 weeks.

Infant Care Basics Class

Infant Care Basics class meets one time for two hours. The class discusses diapering, swaddling, bathing, and care of an infant. Car seats, day care, choosing a pediatrician are topics also discussed. This class is a very "Basic" class for new parents. Includes Infant CPR. Washington County Sheriff's Dept. will do child safety seat checks before the start of class.

Sibling Class

| A Sibling class meets one time for an hour. The child watches a movie regarding becoming a Sibling. This movie discusses newborn activities including crying, eating, and sleeping. The feelings of the older Sibling are discussed and encourage the child to tell an adult if they feel sad or left out due to the new baby. This class explores many aspects of becoming a Sibling in a fun and Silly way. There is also a tour of a birthing room so the child can see where mom will be.
Begin class when mom is past 30 weeks.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding Basics class meets one time for two hours. The class is designed to help new moms understand how to begin breastfeeding, how breast milk is produced, all topics to assist new moms in getting started the 'right way'! The goal is to provide moms and support people with information to be successful in breastfeeding their newborn.
Class should be taken 32-38 weeks.
