Pharmaceutical
companies today are now advertising directly to the patients, to
you, instead of to providers. Although it’s nice that you
now know what is available to you, this can also lead to risky
situations. Always talk to your provider about your concerns, and
it is okay to bring up certain medications you might be interested
in. Just because a medicine works for someone else, or has an alluring
commercial, doesn’t mean that it’s completely safe,
or right for you. Inform yourself of your options and ask your
provider for realistic advice.
